The Economic Research Service (ERS)-USDA webinar will present the results of the study "International Assessment of Food Security, 2023-2033." This document develops food demand projections and food gap analysis for 83 low and middle-income countries until 2033. Food security is evaluated for each country by estimating the proportion of the population unable to reach a minimum threshold of 2,100 kilocalories per person per day. The severity of food insecurity for those who fail to meet the minimum caloric target is measured by the gap between projected food demand and this caloric threshold.
